Bishop Sound UK BP44k – 4 Channel Power Amplifier 4000 w
The BishopSound BP44k includes a number of features to give the best performance for passive speakers. It runs cool but the fans are quiet.
Key Features:
- 4 x 800 Watts into 8 Ohms
- 4 x 1000 Watts into 4 Ohms
- Intelligent fans switch in and out dependent on the heat generation automatically to ensure cool running
- Limiters protect the BP44K from damage by moving to protect mode when THD is more than 0.5%
- Each of the 4 channels has an independent clip, protection and signal indication.
- Strong 1u rack ears for easy touring rack installation
- 4 x XLR balanced Neutrik analogue audio inputs
- 4 x NL4 Neutrik speakON output connectors
Protection:
- Soft Start
- DC
- Short Circuit
- Overload
- Distortion limiting
- Overheating
Designed to run down to 200v at which point the amplifier will go into protect mode. As soon as the voltage is restored you can use the amplifier again.
British design, highest quality components and honest ratings combined with my personal guarantee. The performance is exceptional and it even drives my big 18″ subs!
Please note:
The engineers have commented that the 1u class D amplifiers whilst very powerful, and efficient with superb musicality are very susceptible to mains peaks and dirty power which is not stable. For class D amplification to function a perfect, clean, noise and spike free solid 240v uninterrupted power supply is essential.
Always use a power conditioner with this product for your safety and to ensure your expensive PA is protected. See Power Conditioners – BishopSound
1U amplifiers must be kept cool! High-speed fans are built-in but the only source of airflow is from the front vents so it is of the utmost importance to check monthly and keep these clean and free from clogging up with dust and dirt.
1u class D amplifiers in hot weather or hot locations require additional cooling from air conditioning units or high-speed external fans.
Use in bars, cafes and clubs where chillers, air conditioning or other highly power-dependent equipment sharing the same feed can render the power supply in the amplifier to become very unstable. There have also been issues where neighbours using welders or other highly dependent equipment can drop voltage, spike, or create mains which is not fully stable and clean.
For this reason, we strongly recommend, for a small investment that a Furman power conditioner be used to prevent the power supply in the class D amplifier from being damaged by a dirty incoming mains supply.
